A Future for the Past
Workshops

The project "A Future for the Past" focuses on the artisans behind traditional marble carving and contemporary design, exploring their interaction with this distinctive  material.

During the workshops held as part of the exhibition "A Future for the Past: Marble Carving Meets Contemporary Design," participants will have the opportunity to observe the crafting of modern objects in marble. These sessions will demonstrate how traditional techniques are applied in contemporary design and how contemporary practices enrich traditional craftsmanship.

Additionally, the project will emphasise how modern approaches enhance the skills of craftsmen, thereby expanding the field of applications for marble.
